• • • • Signature James Eugene Carrey (; born January 17, 1962) is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, impressionist, screenwriter, and producer. He is known for his highly energetic performances. Carrey first gained recognition in 1990 after landing a recurring role in the television series. His first leading roles in major productions came with (1994), (1994), (1994), and (1995), as well as a supporting role in (1995) and a lead role in (1997).
