Primary responsibilities of the nursing faculty include but are not limited to: teaching undergraduate didactic, clinical, and laboratory courses; preparing clinical assignments and providing clinical and campus lab preparation and instruction. The position includes coordinating and teaching NURS 406 Mental Health Nursing classroom along with other assigned responsibilities. Master?s degree in Nursing is required and a doctorate degree is preferred.
Doctorate in Nursing or a related field is required for a tenure-track appointment. Prior teaching experience in a School of Nursing is desirable; a minimum of two years? Experience as a Registered Nurse is required. Active unencumbered RN License in the State of Ohio or eligible.
Current BLS certification, a clear background check, and drug free screen is a requirement for clinical practice and supervision of nursing students. A faculty member will be actively involved in teaching, research, departmental and university-wide service.
