Understand the properties of flight and how they can be modified to propel a rocket. Chambers Creek Regional Park Mechanical Engineering: Catapults • For: Ages 8-14 • Instructor: Alpert • $30 (1 day) Learn to make a MEDIEVAL MACHINE USING CANDY! The catapult activity will provide a basic knowledge of how and why catapults were first created. Students will build a simple catapult using a spoon to power their candy projectile. Students will also explore the mechanics of catapults in order to increase precision and accuracy.
