We are happy to announce today, that the patch 4.2 for The Guild 2 Renaissance is almost done! You can look forward to hundreds of bugfixes, a higher performance, a better network stability, in-game concerts of the band Versengold, 6 brandnew maps, remastered music peaces, new models, a handfull of new measures, the ModLauncher (for managing mods) and a lot of balancings - all in all more than 600 mb! The team will come together again in spring 2015 to work on the smaller patch 4.21, in order to fix the bugs which could not be fixed in 4.2. I am very excited that many bugs are being fixed in this game, as this is one of my all time favorite games. The one thing I am hopeful for in a future patch is a way to manage your storage slots in a building so you can set how many storage slots are to be set aside for certain goods. This is a great game, but it gets hard to micro manage the resupplying of your buildings, especially once you have 10+ buildings. Such a feature would be a huge improvement to the game and allow more time to focus on your Dynasty Members instead of directing carts from point A to point B most of the time.

Again I am very thankful for all of the people who worked to make this a better game. I am very excited that many bugs are being fixed in this game, as this is one of my all time favorite games.

The one thing I am hopeful for in a future patch is a way to manage your storage slots in a building so you can set how many storage slots are to be set aside for certain goods. Maybe some modders find a way to make this possible. I seriously can't wait untill tomorrow. I've been playing this game with my best friends for a while now up untill we got the dreaded OoS messages, and we're all very excited to see this is (most likely) gonna' be fixed. We're just wondering when it will be available for download. Two of us live in the Netherlands, and one in Estonia.

Will it be distrubuted through Steam when it's December 22 00:00 in Washington or will you have an earlier download available here, considering the studio is from Germany? While we are on the topic, I noticed in the changes.txt that a lot of elements from McCoy's Legacy Mod is being incorporated. On the whole I think that is an excellent move, because over all the Legacy Mod brings a lot and new life into The Guild Renaissance. But I do have one annoying nitpick about the mod, and that's the tendency for AI controlled dynasty members to act against their dynasty.

Actions such as voting against their own dynasty, and using their office privileges against my active dynasty members (particularly sending town guards to put my rogue employees in the pillory). Since this almost virtually never happened when I played with just 4.17 (and logged hundreds of hours with this game), I have to believe it's part of the mod.
